We're talking about taking a multi-generation family summer vacation to the Finger Lakes, NY. We like that's its a reasonable drive from Erie, PA and won't be too hot (as opposed to our past vacations in SC in July/August.)
There will be 3 families with grandchildren ranging in age from 3 mos-20yr. The interests in our group vary from shopping, golf, swimming, bike riding, reading, eating out. We'll definitely want to go out on a lake by boat. Playgrounds are important a children's museum would be a big plus. Interestingly, no one drinks wine, so wineries aren't important to us. We'll rent a big house for us all to stay in.
Anything come to mind? Or can you point us towards another area that would appeal to us, is scenic and not too far of a drive from northwestern PA. Thank you!
